Yes. You can change your number under services in your web portal
or by calling TeleSouth Customer Support at 866-GO-TeleSouth.
You must decide carefully before choosing a new number because
it will be re-used by another TeleSouth customer. Once you give
it up, it's gone. Remember that you always have option of keeping
your old number as a virtual number.
You can change your number by clicking "Change Your Phone
Number" under the Services section. You can manage incoming
calls to your old number by selecting one of three options:
Permanent Call Forwarding with Virtual Number
You keep your old number as a Virtual Number, forwarding calls to
your new number permanently and never falling out of touch with
important people. This costs $4.99 a month.
Temporary Call Forwarding
Your old number will stop forwarding calls to your new number after
seven days. This 7 day courtesy is provided by TeleSouth free of
charge. No Call Forwarding ! Your old number stops taking calls
immediately. There is no charge to activate this feature. Please
note that regardless of which option you choose, ALL stored voicemail
messages associated with your old number will be DELETED PERMANENTLY
AFTER SEVEN DAYS.
TeleSouth always gives you the option of 7 days of courtesy access
to your old voicemail box. After 7 days, your saved voicemail messages
associated with the old number will be erased. Once they're erased,
they're gone forever. Your voicemails from your new number will
not be affected.
You might not have the time to contact everyone you know in 7
days. When you transfer your old number to a virtual number, you
won't lose contact with people who didn't know that your number
changed. Your virtual number rings to your primary line. To learn

Yes. The fee to change your number is $9.99. Taxes and Activation
Charge are not included. If you select Permanent Call Forwarding
with Virtual Number, you will also be assessed an additional monthly
charge of $4.99. Your first month's $4.99 charge is pro-rated with
your billing cycle. So if you activate on the 15th day of your billing
cycle, your first month's bill will be $2.50, and $4.99 in subsequent
months. |
