VOIP Billing Frequently Asked Questions

What am I paying for?

After your account is established, you will be charged a flat monthly fee for the TeleSouth service. This fee will be based on the service plan you selected during registration. If you exceed your monthly minutes, you will be charged by the minute at a rate specified by the service plan description.

Does TeleSouth add any additional taxes or monthly fees on top of my monthly service charge in the following month after I have signed up?

TeleSouth charges a 3% Federal Excise Tax (FET) on the total amount of your bill as well as $1.50 Regulatory Recovery Fee for each primary or virtual phone number assigned to your account.

With TeleSouth, do you send me a monthly paper bill, or are the bills online?

TeleSouth keeps your last 6 month's of bills online on our website. We do not send you a paper bill. Your online bill has the same level of detail (call logs, information on how each call was billed, etc.) as a cell phone bill. Your credit card on file with us will be billed on the first of each month.

Where can I view my TeleSouth billing statement?

You need to sign in to your account with the user ID and password you chose when you signed up for service. Then click on the "Billing" link at the top of the screen. You are then able to select any telephone number in this account, and see the last 6 months of bills in your web browser. The current month's bill is always updated in real time, so you always know your updated account balance for the current month.

What are the terms of your 14 day money back guarantee?

TeleSouth offers a 14-day money back guarantee, applicable to one primary line per account, not additional or secondary lines. Under terms of the Money-Back Guarantee, TeleSouth refunds the activation fee, first month of service, shipping charges and waives the disconnect fee. TeleSouth reserves the right to terminate or revoke the Money-Back Guarantee at any time, without prior notice.You must cancel service within 14 days of the account activation. Equipment must be returned within 14 days. Usage must not exceed 250 minutes within the first 14 days of service. You are responsible for any charges for overage, international traffic or directory assistance. Accounts exceeding 250 minutes of usage are not eligible for refund.

All returned equipment must be in the original packaging with the UPC or bar code intact. All components, manuals and registration card(s) must be included. Equipment must be returned with a valid return authorization number obtained from TeleSouth Customer Service. You are responsible for the return shipping of equipment. The money back guarantee will not be honored if you fail to meet all above requirements.

To obtain a return authorization number, you must call Customer Support at 800-GO-TeleSouth ( 1-800-518-2008 ).

How do I upgrade my TeleSouth service to include any of the new calling plans?

You can update your plan at anytime by logging into this website with your customer login and password. The new plan will go into effect at the start of your next billing period.
